about

artists bio’s generally suck.

they list a bunch of achievements you wouldn’t recognize.

name drop in a seemingly casual way - and

are often written to impress gallery owners and art critics that pretend to understand words the rest of us don’t use.

so yeah - i’ve painted for some people you know or have seen on tv. or seen singing on stage.

i’ve collaborated with companies you’ve purchased from and spent a lot of time trying to climb those ladder rungs.

but i’ve come to realize the most important part of my bio is you.

somehow, someway i get to do this everyday.

it is only because you have said keep going with your words of affirmation and putting things i make on your walls.

so this is my bio -

artist. not in the art world.

jesus. not in the church.

underdog. not in fear of the big bad wolf.

i’m kent and i’m an artist.  absolutely the tortured kind.

i am on a mission to give you the pep talk you need to realize your potential and spring a win for yourself. for the underdog.

i’m an underdog too. i’m not recognized by the art world and you won’t find my work in art publications or galleries for that matter. i just paint words - i think that is too simple for some.

i’m turned away from the big shows but refuse to pay my way in for attention.

fuck ‘em. i can do this on my own. so can you. so can we.

i’m ready to find out what happens when i don’t give up. im ready to take the risk so that i have a better story to tell.

different is always a better story.

don’t you agree?
