“art is not an afterthought.” – if walls could talk

your walls don’t deserve drab. ditch the ho-hum décor, the nondescript florals, the copycat canvases.

be bold. buy originality.

i’m kenT, and i’m an artist tortured in the pursuit of originality.

each kentT youngstrom original is designed, inked, splattered, and textured by hand in my park city studio.

i’ve spent the last several years in the south where my word art created a buzz with country music stars and the writers who write their songs.  tv personalities like joanna gaines and the property brothers use my work in their spaces and in their own homes.  and now that i’m done with the name dropping to impress you - let me show you some of the things i have created that make walls grab your attention for all the right reasons.

ditch the lack but keep the luster and let your walls tell a story.

vail commission piece

i’d rather spend my time on things like this vail painting for a client and friend who loves to ski the vail back bowls.  if you have ever been to lions head village in vail and looked up while in line at lift one - the condominium with the only balcony is where this piece - complete with all of the family’s favorite runs listed behind a neon script vail resides.  it is one of my favorite pieces because of how it lists all of their favorites in a subtle and beautiful way.

here for the music

maverick records, the management team for hoodie and the blowfish, and darius ruckers solo career wanted a head turner for their remodeled office on music row in nashville.  retro record sleeves incorporated into “here for the music” plays well.

cb2

each year i paint somewhere north or 500 origins canvas paintings forcb2.com - the little modern side kick of crate and barrel.  i love the originality of providing original canvas painting for the masses. but also may hate it just a little bit.

your walls don’t deserve drab.
